" I WILL KEEP ON PLAYING!"

Spielberg, Austria: After a disastrous season, Austrian Golf Pro Eva Steinberger took some time to think about her future. In the following interview she says what happened during the last year and how she would like to come back:

What happened last year?

Eva:" I wanted to make  a step forward and decided to change my coach and finally it worked out as a big step backwards.... Then I found out that I did not want to play the way my new coach wanted me to play, because I did not feel anything in my swing, it was too late and finally I went back to my former coach Max Baltl in September but it was too late for 2009..... "

Did you think about quitting ?

Eva:"By missing almost all of the cuts during the year and getting bad results nearly every weekend it is hard to go out and to work even harder and to find some joy in your job. After the tour school late last year I had a little rest before going to Turkey with Max Baltl. While there I found out, that I still like to practice and play....!"

What are your future plans?

" I am staying in warm countries until mid-April and will practice and play many golf courses to get feeling back in my game. In April I will start practicing with Max again in Austria and get ready to play...."

Where will we see you playing this season?

" I hope to receive some invitations to LET tournaments and to make enough money there to be listed in the order of merit. Also I will play some tournaments in Sweden and Spain just to get the feeling of competition back which will keep me focused and hopefully get some good results...!"

Do you thing you will be back on LET in 2011?

Eva: " I am 100% sure - otherwise this coming year does not make alot sense... Maybe I will be lucky and play very well on certain tournaments and in particular the LET events this year and get my card back ...!"

Did the sponsors stay with you?

Eva: " I am very happy that most of my supporters will work with me again in 2010 and that Callaway Austria continue toextend their co-operation and will do their best to provide me with their best clubs, balls and shoes.... My manager Christoph Ammann will be busy getting invitations for me and his companies Grand Prix Tickets and CAM Security will support me again this year as will Golfclub Murtal,  Uniqa and Steiermärkische Sparkasse.Uvex, T-win Tee, Golfzone and Chervo will help me with as well.... Budget wise I am still very happy and have no problem in playing a season as there enough money in the kitty to pay for my coaches and trainers....!"
